Director of Grants

Ashley Kramer grew up in Chicago before moving to New York City to study American Literature and Theater at NYU. After graduation, Ashley joined the Peace Corps and served in the Fijian Islands for two years where she gained experience in grassroots education, grant writing, and project management. When she returned to the United States, Ashley earned her Masters in the Art of Teaching from the University of Maine and went on to teach theater, language arts, and adult basic education for ten years in Maine and Washington state.

In 2021, Kramer moved to Greenfield and began working with Stone Soup Café, first as a grant writer and the program manager for Everybody’s Community Store, and then later as Executive Co-Director alongside Kirsten before becoming the Director of Grants.

When not at the Café, Ashley can be found playing music, performing in various theatrical undertakings, or out adventuring with her partner, their baby, and Huckleberry the dog.
