Barbara Havlicek

After working over 40 years in the financial world, Barbara Havlicek retired, packed her bags and relocated to Greenfield, MA. Interested in devoting time to community service, Barbara rolled up her sleeves to dry pots and pans for the Saturday afternoon kitchen clean-up shift at the Stone Soup Café.

It was during these shifts that Barbara saw firsthand the tireless dedication of staff and volunteers in support of the Café’s mission. She herself also developed a strong sense of belonging in the community that began with the kitchen clean-up team. It is only fitting now that Barbara roll up her sleeves again, in a different way, to support the Café.

Barbara is a seasoned financial professional with experience in management, strategic planning and credit analysis. She started her career as a credit analyst at Swiss Bank (now UBS) and later moved to Moody’s Investors Service where she worked in a number of analytical, organizational and leadership roles during her 27-year tenure there.

We welcome Barbara’s broad-based experience, her commitment to the café and warm smile to the leadership team!
