April Jones

Former Board President

April Jones has loved Greenfield and the Stone Soup Cafe since she began regularly visiting both in December 2014. She describes the Cafe as being “the nexus of her social circles.” She has lived up and down the I-91 corridor in Connecticut and Massachusetts (except for a brief stint in Columbus, Ohio at the turn of the Millennium) and very happily became a resident of Greenfield in April 2016.

Her work history includes time spent in a variety of fields: hospitality, education, textile manufacturing, brick manufacturing, building construction, scientific technological research, investments, health insurance, low income housing, emergency medicine and much more. Her roles included Computer Trainer and Helpdesk Technician, Guest Service Representative, Emergency Medical Dispatcher, Instructor, Property Manager, Administrative Assistant, among others.

She currently works as an Office Assistant for The United Arc. In her spare time, she bakes yummy and beautiful cakes, with a special interest in making gluten-free, vegan and allergen friendly treats that are indistinguishable from the original versions.
