Kirsten Johl Levitt has been cooking since she could stand on a chair next to her mother in the family kitchen. It all started with Christmas cookies and fruit cakes and has expanded her culinary repertoire from there for the past 5 decades.

Born and raised in New York City, Kirsten was exposed to authentic ethnic foods from around the world. She is a self taught chef who has been cooking and catering for large parties for the past 35 + years. She loves to feed and serve delicious and nutritious meals that expand your palate with world cuisines and their associated celebrations.

When she is not at the Stone Soup Café Kirsten is the second grade teacher for the Gill Montague Regional School District. Kirsten is dedicated to ensuring that all children learn to read and write. You may notice her love of words in our weekly menu’s poetry.

Kirsten’s other passions include: singing, gardening, dancing, and spending time with her beloved family and friends
