Kirsten Johl Levitt has been cooking since she could stand on a chair beside her mother in the family kitchen. It all started with Christmas cookies and fruit cakes and has expanded her culinary repertoire for the past 5 decades.
Born and raised in New York City, Kirsten was exposed to authentic ethnic foods from around the world. She is a self-taught chef who has been cooking and catering for large parties for the past 40 + years. She loves to feed and serve delicious and nutritious meals that expand your palate with world cuisines and their associated celebrations.
Kirsten is a retired elementary school literacy coach and teacher. She loves learning and is dedicated to sharing what she knows with others. She shows her love of words in our weekly menu’s poetry.
Kirsten’s other passions include: singing, gardening, dancing, and spending time with her beloved family and friends
