Join Stone Soup Café on this particular Thanks Giving Day to acknowledge, celebrate, and honor Indigenous resistance, while we share a delicious holiday meal that truly welcomes everyone. Thursday, November 28th, 2024 from 12 PM until 2:30 PM.
Stone Soup Café would like to uplift the true history of Thanksgiving so that we as a community can affirm the experiences of Native people.
We will pause all food preparations at 12pm to watch a live stream of the National Day of Mourning in the All Souls sanctuary. At 1pm, all are welcome to share a meal in the Sanctuary while the Live Stream continues. The meal will also be available for curbside pickup or delivery.
Suggested donation of $25 per meal. A portion of funds collected at this meal will be shared with our indigenous friends at Ohketeau Cultural Center and Nolumbeka Project.
Together, let’s learn about the complexity of the holiday.
